Melletios Kyriakidis and Sumugan Sivanesan re-wire iconic symbols from contemporary Australian history to illustrate the turning of culture on this continent. The bush-ranger, Ned Kelly and the currently infamous Lebanese bikers, are cleaved by a distressed Southern Cross flag, commonly (mis)used as a symbol of the mythologised multicultural beginnings of the democratic process in Australia. Installed on ANZAC Day, 2009.
